GUIDELINES

Hello hello! I’m Felix, or Pierrot! I use they/he pronouns, and i’m well over 18 (Born 1993). My favourite kinds of characters to roleplay are Weird Men, so here’s another one.Eric Feeble’s from the BBC show ‘Stressed Eric’, an animated adult sitcom about a stressed out single dad from London doing his best to raise his two kids while capitalism beats him to a pulp. Fun! The show ran from 1998 to 2000, and frankly a few things about it haven’t aged particularly well so please keep that in mind if you’d like to look it up! Note that i’m taking a few liberties with canon here and there.

Here’s the quick and dirty, stuff may get expanded upon in the future:- This blog is 18+ only, i’m an adult and prefer to roleplay with other adults. There won’t be any outright NSFW threads on this blog, if things get saucy I prefer to ‘fade to black’ and then continue through Discord DM’s.- This is a sideblog, likes and follows will be through Polyesterpeacock!- All art under the ‘mun art’ tag is my own, please do not repost or use it for anything.- I’m mutuals only and a bit selective of who I write with, primarily for the sake of preserving mental energy. Writing can take a lot out of me. Non-mutuals and non-RP blogs are more than welcome to send in asks.- I am very open to writing with both canon and OC muses of all types within reason. I draw a hard line at writing with blogs portraying Nazis or fascists, even those with fictional ideologies only “mirroring” real-world Nazism. (Marvel’s Hydra organization, for example). This includes AUs and OCs. If I find a blog following me that has this kind of muse or AU, I will soft or hard block as necessary.- I have issues with my memory and comprehension, which can lead to slower replies and may require a bit more out of character discussion. If you’d like to plot something out, or if i’ve forgotten or misremembered something in a thread or ask, please let me know via Tumblr DM’s or Discord. I will message you if I need a reminder or clarification on something as well.- I’m a Canadian writing a British guy so if anything sounds off, that’d probably be why.Alright, that’s it for now! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out via Tumblr IM, or my Discord if you’d like it.

About

Name: Eric Feeble
Nicknames/Aliases: “Feebs”, but no one’s called him that since college
Gender: Cisgender Man (he/him)
Race/Species: Human
Ethnicity: White
Age: 40’s
Birthdate: April 20
Orientation: Questioning bisexual
Religion: Agnostic, raised Roman Catholic
Height: 5’7”
Build: Thin, but soft around the middle. Muscles are quite frequently taut and tense, but he’s by no definition of the word ‘fit’.
Hair: Coppery red, flecks of grey. Kept in a short, (DIY) undercut.
Eyes: Green
Skin: Pale white, sparsely dotted with freckles.
Faceclaim: Mackenzie Crook
Personality: Eric is a kind, well-meaning, but ultimately exhausted man who cares deeply for his children and does everything in his self-admittedly limited power to make sure they are healthy, happy, and safe. He is an extraordinarily resilient person who, despite all that life throws at him, strives to remain a safe harbour for those he loves. He has a tendency to internalize stress, anger, and sadness, letting off as much steam as is socially appropriate by muttering and complaining under his breath, or even loudly, and rather theatrically lamenting his woes when he thinks he’s out of earshot.Mental: Chronic depression, anxiety, and insomnia. Prone to mood swings, panic attacks, and he frequently experiences nervous ticks.Physical: Poor mental health and poor physical health go hand in hand. Eric’s running on fumes more often than not, and pushing himself past his exhaustion while struggling to keep his emotions in check for so long has taken a toll on his body. He suffers from migraines, muscle spasms, heart palpitations, and breathing problems. He’s prone to cold sweats and fevers, bouts of nausea, nose bleeds, break-outs of rashes and blisters, among a laundry list of other symptoms.Spoken Languages: English, British Sign LanguageBirthplace: Croydon, EnglandCurrent Residence: London, EnglandCurrent Occupation: Clerk, data entry at Power IndustriesFamily:

Born and raised in Croydon, South London, England. Shorter than average, weaker than average, Eric was often bullied growing up, but was encouraged to never fight back, on the grounds that he shouldn’t “stoop to their level.” Eric’s mother was a homemaker, passive and placating, with his father acting as a successful–if stressed–breadwinner.Over the years their marriage became more and more strained, though they never divorced. The quiet tension at home slowly grew into more of a controlled chaos, Eric internalized much of the stress of his home life. He continued to be taunted and bullied at school, with things occasionally turning physical, though never on his end. When Eric was a teenager, his father died of a heart attack. He’d never before felt a sadness so deep, never felt grief this heart wrenching, this hollow. He felt as though something had changed in him that day, though maybe it had always been there, just under the surface. The next school day, the taunting continued as normal, and Eric endured as he always did. Right up until one of the boys made a crack about Eric now being the “man of the house”, and for the first time all that bottled up tension—that rage—he’d long been biting back boiled over and he finally retaliated, leaving the boy with a broken nose, and Eric with a suspension.Eric slipped into a brief punk phase in his late teens and early 20’s, the loud music and aggressive mindset a catharsis for him. But as he grew older, Eric realized that just wasn’t the kind of person he wanted to be. Eric wanted, he supposed, something to ground him, wanted to be able to enjoy the life he was given and appreciate the things around him. When he met Elizabeth Sherman, he…well, he certainly thought he’d found a kindred spirit in that respect.Liz, like Eric, was searching for herself, a purpose. The two bonded over their mutual disillusionment with the ever-winding rat race of life, bonded over their hope for something better. Eric enjoyed having someone in his life who seemed to understand what he was going through, and they both explored the more spiritual aspects of existence, Liz in the process of converting to Buddhism at the time. The two eventually wed, and things were peaceful… for a time. Eric and Liz soon welcomed their first child, Brian, who by all accounts was a healthy boy but significantly fell behind on typical developmental milestones as he grew. Though never formally diagnosed with anything, Eric and Liz did what they could to accommodate their son, with Eric even picking up a few key phrases in sign language when he’d found Brian was having an especially rough time with his communication skills.Liz took a more holistic, spiritual approach in her attempts at accommodation, which Eric found well-meaning, if not a little misguided. All the while, Eric was moving up the ranks in his career at Power Industries, ultimately landing himself the position of Assistant Manager. It certainly paid well, but between the increased workload, and elevating tension at home following the birth of Eric and Liz’s daughter, Claire–who was frail, prone to illness, and who seemed to be developing allergies at an alarming rate–the cracks in Eric’s marriage were beginning to show.Eric’s health, both mental and physical, was slowly but surely on the decline. As the pressures of both life and work began to mount, Eric’s various ailments seemed to quickly follow suit.Liz found herself falling deeper into an increasingly more concerning, and eventually dangerous rabbit hole of alternative medicines and therapies as her own nerves began to fray, and Eric was falling down the corporate ladder almost as quickly as he’d climbed it.Liz ended up divorcing Eric, leaving him the one primarily caring for his children, though at that point he’d essentially been doing just that for quite some time. Now a single father, and essentially back to square one in his career path after being demoted–or, as his boss Paul Power puts it, ‘reassigned’–to a data entry position amidst his declining health, Eric decided to hire on and host Maria Gonzales, a young woman from Portugal, to help keep an eye on his children while he toils on as both breadwinner and homemaker.
